Two Statements Define Who I am and What I do
A student once told me, “You believe in us, so we can believe in ourselves.”
It was a surprising and kind statement, and after some reflection, I came to see it as true. I do believe in people.
I believe that everyone has the potential to offer something great to the world. But so often, people fail to spot that potential within themselves. Not only is this frustrating for individuals but it’s also a wasted opportunity for the organizations they work in.
What I have discovered over the course of my life is that every person is unique. Yet their unique talents are often inhibited by the social and organizational structures that dominate our lives.
My son once told a man, “Dad talks people into having problems and offers to fix them.”
We laughed when he said it. Three decades later, his assessment holds up.
All our lives are in transition. Our families, organizations, communities, and world is in transition. These transition present to us problems and opportunities for creating change that makes a difference that matters. We can’t create solutions without clarifying the real problems that we face.
My aim is to help people break down the barriers that are holding them back.
I want to empower them to become leaders in both their personal and professional lives.
For over 30 years, I’ve worked with senior executives, entrepreneurs and organizational clients to solve the real problems that confront leaders.
I developed my Circle of Impact model to help people discover new ways to solve problems that affect them. My desire is to help people take personal initiative to create impact that makes a difference that matters. I do so because I believe in them, in you, and I want to walk with you through the transitions that enable to live lives that matter in our world today.
